NEW digital ads call for #CareNotCuts from NYC Mayor

  • Natalia Aristizabal Betancur Deputy Director

This week, in front of City Hall, along with allies, we launched digital ads to raise public awareness of Mayor Eric Adams’s reckless efforts to cut vital city services in the upcoming NYC Budget.

Send a letter to the Mayor to demand #CareNotCuts in the upcoming NYC budget!

With less than a month before the NYC budget is finalized, our ad campaign, which included a mobile billboard that drove around the City, aims to raise the alarm about the Mayor’s plan to cut public education, public libraries, CUNY, housing services, meal delivery for older adults, and health services.

In just a few days, our ads have reached over 300,000 New Yorkers across the five boroughs, and we hope to reach hundreds of thousands more in the coming weeks, revealing the truth about the Mayor’s true intentions in the upcoming budget. New Yorkers deserve the truth about what Mayor Adams is doing.

These cuts would take away programs and services on which families rely—all while trying to give away hundreds of millions of public dollars for overtime and abusive, unnecessary units at an already-bloated NYPD.

All New Yorkers deserve a great education and access to affordable health care and housing. Take action to say NO to Mayor Adams’s cuts to schools, libraries, and CUNY.

We need a budget that invests in care for our families, not cuts to the services on which every day New Yorkers depend on.

Thank you for being with us in the fight!
